It was time to see what Tommy could produce. A single breeding was booked in order to see what sort of foal he could put on the ground to determine his future. Should the nicely colored colt remain intact or is he only gelding material? Hopefully this crossing would decide that. He had the color and flash, was build correctly, and showed potential in his training so far. But without the years it takes to campaign him in shows and breedings it was not certain just how good he could be. Sometimes a gelding was much better to have around.

The young stallion was led into the arena where the pretty black mare was waiting. At his young age he was more than amped up around a mare in heat. Tommy puffed up and arched his neck, trying to pull past his handler and reach towards the mare. Nox was interested too, raising her tail and squealing at the young stud. Tommy pawed, sending her head into the air, making the young woman holding her have to catch herself from being pulled over. Noah seemed to crack a grin over at Melissa who had Tommy in hand. They had an interesting ordeal ahead of them getting Nox covered in hand with the inexperienced colt.

Tommy's first foal! He's only 3, so this will be his only foal until he's much older. Though I've been tossing around the idea of gelding him and keep straws for later. At least then he'll be much easier to handle.
