Day two in the week long show was going to be busy day for this duo. Amelia didn't have much time after her ECR run to clean up her mount and get him ready for another class. She opted for a less cumbersome look though, leaving out sport boots and even a breast collar. It was a ranch oriented class, something that was a bit more low key but not relaxed.

Amelia stood beside Vis in the chutes watching the other riders and horses move through the course. She blew on her hands and rubbed them together, warming them up. This weather was a lot colder than what she was used to back home. When she was on deck she finally mounted up, patting her dun and knowing they'd do pretty good. He was a mustang, he always minded his feet and watched where he went. Plus he was almost unstoppable when it came to obstacles. Their strong bond meant he would try anything for her.

When they started their run it seemed to go great, if a little fast. Vis as being a bit finicky about slowing down for the obstacles after coming off a timed obstacles race. He did not refuse a single obstacle though which made Amelia happy that they wouldn't get faulted for it.

They were coming to the tail end of the course and seemed to be in the clear. That was, until the box they had to walk through full of cans. Vis didn't refuse to go right in but he took his chance to start playing around. Instead of just walking right through he decided to stop abruptly and start pawing at the cans and knocking them around. Amelia couldn't contain herself and laughed about it. She picked his head back up and walked him out to finish the course but her amused smile didn't go away. Hopefully the judges would take it as him being a really relaxed horse.

Had some fun doing this, glad I went in a more happy, can-did moment direction.
